The AVS A4 is a well priced Four Star car alarm providing more security for the dollar. This option includes the addition of an ultrasonic sensor.
Ultrasonic sensor:
This sensor triggers if there is a change in air pressure or movement in the cabin of the vehicle. It works by transmitting ultrasonic sound waves (like a bat's sonar) around the cabin of the vehicle. It is a good option for large vehicles or if expensive goods are carried in the car. It is also recommended for cars with frame-less windows (i.e most Subaru models, Nissan and Mitsubishi).
The AVS A4 alarm features:
» Two automatic immobilizers
Starter motor and ignition system or fuel pump immobilizer cuts are made so the car cannot be started unless it is disarmed via the remote. The system will immobilize 40 seconds after the ignition is turned off or when the alarm is armed.
» Data battery back-up siren
A self powered siren that communicates independently wit
h the alarm so it cannot be fooled into turning off like normal battery back-up sirens.
» Turbo timer functions*
The AVS A4 is designed specifically to work with turbo vehicles. It has two turbo timer options to choose from.
If the alarm is armed and a door, bonnet or boot is opened the alarm will sound.
» Control the alarm with your vehicle's factory key*+
The great thing with AVS is you can install this AVS car alarm and then operate it from your factory remote. This means when you lock/unlock the car with the factory remote it will arm/disarm the AVS alarm. Boot release will also work from the factory remote (and if the alarm is armed it will disarm). This feature will work with most factory remotes.
» Courier function*
Courier function allows the engine to continue running indefinitely while the system is armed. If the alarm is triggered during this time the car will shut down and the alarm will sound.
» Anti-hijack*
The anti-hijack feature (if installed) will immobilise the engine if a covert button is not pushed within a set time frame following the car being started. It is designed as another line of defence if your remote and keys are stolen.
» Central locking from the remote*
The alarm will lock/unlock the doors when the alarm is armed/disarmed.
» Two rolling code waterproof remotes
(If you are not using your car's factory key to operate the alarm)
» Hyper blue LED warning light
» Compatible with all AVS accessories and sensors

» Control other devices with your AVS remote*
With the addition of the AVS Garage Door receiver or RXPRO receiver your AVS alarm may be able to open/close your garage door, arm/disarm your house alarm or be used to control many other common remote control devices. Talk with us or your AVS installer for more information.

- On-board turbo timer – no need to fit an external unit - using the on-board turbo timer is the most secure way to have a turbo timer. The alarm is armed as usual but the car will continue to run for the preset run time of 1, 2 or 4 minutes. If the alarm is triggered during this time the car will shut down and the alarm will sound. It can also be turned off prior to the preset run time via the AVS remote.
- Turbo timer interface - link the alarm up with your existing external turbo timer so your car will continue to run on the external turbo timer after the alarm is armed as usual. If the alarm is triggered during this time the car will shut down and the alarm will sound.
